Stardate:2407.01.30 (ISS Nimitz - Deck 6 - ATAC/ASC - Ensign Jono Janeway - 0704) Jono was walking down the corridor on patrol, because he couldnt stand on the bridge much longer. Seddenly Lemars voice apparated into the air around him. =^=Dr. Lemar to Ensign Jono Janeway=^= Jono tapped his comm badge "Jono here, what do you need Dr.?" Jono said sarcastically! =^=I have some results in sickbay that may interest you. Remember that biogenic compound? Yes that's right. Get down here when you can, I have some thing to go over with you=^= Jono smiled, and then quickly said "Ahhhh, excellent, ill be there as soon as i can!" Jono said smiling and then walked off. Sash gave a snort of a laugh. He had hoped to have aprivate moment with this creature, but now he was going to have to continue to play his role. "Indeed, this seems to be something a little more troublesome to be a good pet though." "So what have we here?" Harrison asked, peering into the containment area, "Whoa! Talk about your big lizards!" He knelt down by the creature, and cooed, "Who's an ugly bugger then?" "My name is Rizoru, and I am a Chamorian," the creature stated. "I can benefit you by learning about any trade here, and I am excellent when it comes to fighting. I have yet to lose in a fight. I am quick, and have many abilites that would make me an excellent assasin, if you would ever need of one. I have camaflouge capability, and I can see in the dark, something I'm sure your regular assasins can't do. I was one of the military leaders back on my home world, and I know of drills and how to train properly." Sash's mind stirred as he heard the word assasin. He could see that it hadn't escaped the counselor's ears either. Through reading his logs he knew that Harrison was a supporter of Sash, but he figured that it was mainly because he was the one person on the ship that he didn't seem to have any dirt on. It remained to see how staunch a supporter he would be. "An assasin, indeed," Sash said, contemplatively. "Well, that would come in handy, wouldn't it John." (reply Harrison) "So what do you think?" he probed. "Does it look very dangerous to you?" (reply Harrison) "I think the question is," Sash looked back at the Chamorian, "how do we now that we can trust it? Why wouldn't you just kill me in my sleep, or if you're as good as you say you are, you could kill me while I was awake." I wonder what they did to it.~ She thought eyeing the doctor who was bringing her food. She thought about attacking him and trying to make another run for it, but she didn't remembering the captain said this was the safest place for her for the time being. She let him put the food inside the cage, but she didn't touch any of it. She wasn't dumb, and decides to go to the back of the cage for some exercise. She figured now was no time to let herself get out of shape. (ISS Nimitz - Sickbay - Rizoru - 1007) Since she had decided she was safe she had taken a nap after her daily workout, and woke up to the sound of the captain's voice. Then another man joined the captain, talking to her like she was some child. She didn't appreciate it, and decided to ignore the ship's idot. "My name is Rizoru, and I am a Chamorian. I can benefit you by learning about any trade here, and I am excellent when it comes to fighting. I have yet to lose in a fight. (Tag Sash, and anyone else) (posted by Riz) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz - Sickbay - FO - Commander Jeff Hyland - 0706) Just before Dumas was able to answer Jeff, the captain picked that time to chime in. Jeff could have killed him for stopping him from throwing Dumas into the brig or worse if he decided. This Dumas was a thorn in his side that he really wanted to get rid of, but, Sash was continually interfering. "People, people settle down, now!" Sash said as he raised his hand and emphasized the now, which cause the enter room to go silent. "I'm not making any decision what to do with this thing right now. For the now, Lt. Tagon, set up a quarantine chamber here in sick bay. Doctors, nobody, and I mean nobody, is to disturb this creature, short of feeding it. It is not to be dissected or destroyed. If I find that it has been harmed I will be... most displeased." Then Sash turned to Dumas, "I appreciate your concerns Cai, but Kane is here for now. Please wait on the bridge and check my ready room for any more surprises." (reply Dumas) After the slime worm answered Sash, he turned to Jeff. Jeff was actually steaming, but, that was to be expected anytime it came to Sash ordering him around or interfering with a discipline problem. "Commander," Sash started, "I believe that you would best serve the ship on the bridge at this moment. The rest of you, get back to your jobs." "Fine, you and I will talk about this later, believe me!" Jeff replied as he turned on his heels to head out. "Lt. Tagon after you are done, get to the bridge." As everyone filed out of sickbay, Jonas moved his hands behind his back and his nimble fingers danced over the control panel. "Doctor Kinkaid," Sash turned to the CMO and said, "do I have your assurances that this creature will be left, unmolested." Kinkaid waved his hand at Sash, "Yeah, yeah, whatever." Sash the looked over at Jonas, "You understand Doctor Lemar, no experiments or even probes at this time." Jonas stopped what he was doing at once, clasping his hands firmly behind his back. With a smile he said, "Of course sir, I wouldn't dream of it" which was of course a lie - from the moment he set eyes on the creature his fascination was great. (reply: none) (posted by Davee) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Sickbay - COUNS- Ensign John Harrison - 1006) Counsellor John Harrison strolled down the corridor outside Sickbay with an impossibly smug grin on his face. The ensign's wife had been incredible, and much more willing than Biesseman's wife. What he had predicted would be a simple half an hour of utter bliss had soon transformed into two hours of ecstacy. The ensign didn't know what he was missing. After arranging a second rendezvous with the wife for this evening, Harrison had taken the turbolift to the bridge. He rarely went to the bridge unless he was needed. Not only did he prefer to be indulging holodeck simulations, often erotic, but he didn't want to spend too much time where the other officers were. He didn't want to be around when things kicked off, because, in keeping so many secrets safe (until necessary, of course), almost all of his fellow officers would consider him an enemy. If there were two sides to a fight, he wouldn't be given the choice of which he was on - he was always on his own side. For reputation purposes, of course, he sided with the Captain. From what he had seen during his time on the Nimitz, his captain would be the one to come out on top if there was ever a power struggle on board. An onlooker might wonder how Harrison hadn't been killed off years ago. He was weak in combat, and if ever there was someone who wouldn't notice a dagger in his back, it was John Harrison. The answer was simple - nobody could profit from his death. Far from it. In a moment of genius, the counsellor had had a transmitter implanted in his body that monitored his heartbeat. If his heart stopped beating, the transmitter would release a signal to his computer that he always took with him. This computer would then release all of the dirty little secrets he knew to every command offical in Starfleet Command. No matter how much they had been bribed, they couldn't ignore physical evidence on their desk. But on this rare trip to the bridge, he'd heard something interesting. They had captured some sort of creature, which was now being held in sickbay. Harrison, with nothing planned until he met with the ensign's wife the coming evening, hd decided to take a look for himself. As he walked in, he saw that the Captain was here. "So," Sash was saying, "what is a Rizoru? And why should I let you live?" "Well, captain," he said, "You always wanted a pet." (reply Sash) "So what have we here?" Harrison asked, peering into the containment area, "Whoa! Talk about your big lizards!" He knelt down by the creature, protected by the barriers and put on a mocking voice. "Who's an ugly bugger then?" he cooed. My race wasn't allowed to join the Empire, even though we should be. I wish to serve in any capacity you see fit. I got caught didn't I, so naturally I would think that I'm not that good." She said trying to be funny, but for some reason neither of them find that funny. (Tag Sash) (Posted by Riz) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Bridge - COUNS - Commander John Harrison - 1009) The creature ignored his taunts, not even gracing him with a scowl. This girl, thing, whatever, had attitude. He stood once more and listened to her reply to his captain. "My name is Rizoru, and I am a Chamorian," the creature stated. I was one of the military leaders back on my home world, and I know of drills and how to train properly." The counsellor's eyes glimmered with opportunity at the sound of the word Assassin. If he had an assassin of his own, he could have some form of protection. He knew that, eventually, someone would no longer care about the information that would be released upon his death and would kill him, but if he had an assassin under his command, or on loan from his commanding officer, then he would at least be able to get his enemies before they got to him. "An assasin, indeed," Sash said, contemplatively. "Well, that would come in handy, wouldn't it John." "Always better to have one on your side, Captain," he said. "So what do you think?" he probed. "Does it look very dangerous to you?" "I would hope that if it's an assassin it's very dangerous. It's got some attitude at least," the counsellor replied, "The question is do you want this assassin on your payroll, or do you want it to be waving a knife at you the next time you meet it." "I think the question is," Sash looked back at the Chamorian, "how do we now that we can trust it? Why wouldn't you just kill me in my sleep, or if you're as good as you say you are, you could kill me while I was awake." "What would I have to gain by killing you? My race wasn't allowed to join the Empire, even though we should be. I wish to serve in any capacity you see fit. I got caught didn't I, so naturally I would think that I'm not that good," it said. The counsellor could see it was trying to be funny, but a sense of humour wasn't what one looked for in a hired killer. "Not the best way to sell yourself," he said, "If the Captain wants an assassin, he'll want a competent one." (Reply Riz, Sash) (posted by James Batchelor) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz - Sickbay - Riz - 1011) She noticed he said she had attitude, and she wondered if that was a good thing. She had hoped to be let out by now, then again patience was something she had yet to work on. "Not the best way to sell yourself," he said, "If the Captain wants an assassin, he'll want a competent one." The other man said. "I see you don't have much of a sense of humor, too bad, because I wouldn't have wasted my time if I had know that. What do you do anyways? Court Jester? Naw, you would have to have a sense of humor, and clearly you don't. You want to find out how well I can do my job without killing you, well I can think of only one way to find out. Trial and error, I do believe is what you people call it. Test me, and if I fail, or if I try to kill either of you, at least you will know, and I will be worthy of dissection." She said first to the man the captain called 'John' and then to the captain, hoping this all or nothing move helps to show she was willing to gamble her life on this one chance. (Tag Sash, Harrison) (Posted by Riz) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Bridge - CO- Captain Devan Sash- 1012) Sash had not been terribly impressed by the attempt at humor, although he was never known to be a very humorous person. He knew one of his flaws was that he tended to be a little too serious. Something he had to work on. However, he did see the humor in this Rizoru calling Harrison a court jester, and then pulling it back. A biting jab that the counselor did not take so well. "Trial and error?" he said contrmplatively. "I'll just have to think about that. But before I'm willing to let you roam around the ship, I'm going to need a few assurances of my own." Sash was starting to get the swing of this universe. He tapped his comm badge. "Sash to Lt. Commander Wolfe, please meet me in sickbay. And no, I am not injured again," he said at the sound of the pause before replying. They waited for Wolfe to turn up. Once he did Sash took a chance, hoping that his feelings, his instincts, about this one, were correct. "Lt. Commander," he said to Wolf, "I need a way of tracking this Rizoru, since she has the ability to be quite inconspicuous, and in a manner that she cannot mask, hide, remove, or dispose of it. I also need an assurance of her continued ... good behavior. What have you got for me?" I hope your methods of killing are more original than your wit. And how high has your career gone? I'm guessing you've only reached the heady heights of being allowed to eat your Captain's personal leftover scraps, or did he have a pet dog that outranked you?" (reply Riz iyw) Harrison stood back slightly as they performed their proceedure on the creature. As they did so, it lashed out and sank its teeth into its arm. Of all the people standing there, Harrison had almost known it would be him. The others were the ones it was trying to impress, and it clearly hated him the most. Wolfe grabbed the cretaure in a headlock before anyone else could doing anything, allowing Harrison to cradle his injured arm. "-ing hell!" he cried, "That thing's got some serious teeth. Argh! The Betazoid cursed at yet another failed calculation as the computer noted his latest computations with a blinking red "Failure" alert on the monitor screen. He cupped his chin in hs hand for a moment deeply in thought before deciding that he was going to have to go about it in a totally different direction, he brought up the information on know n trans-dimensional events and looked at the energy readings carefully before deciding that just duplicating the outputs of subatomic particles was not going to be enough, he was going to have to duplicate the conditions that caused the energy forms to begin with. ~All right one plus one equals two or every reaction causes an equal and opposite reaction. (Reply: Any) (Posted by Charles) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz - Sickbay - Riz - 1015) She had heard what he said, and it upset her greatly. She didn't like being called a pet, especially by this neanderthal. "As if you know anything about where I come from, and I bet you wouldn't even have the faintest idea where to look for my home planet, not that I would give you that information. I am wondering if the captain here has a pet of some sort, and if he does, well I would think it would outrank you by ten degrees at least." She said hoping to have the last word on this. Hours later, she woke up wondering what had happened, and then she remembered clamping down on the moron's arm. She smiled at the memory, and then remembered that she had tasted his blood, which wasn't too bad of a taste after all. She wondered if she would have to do it again, or had he learned his lesson. She had also found he hadn't tasted that bad, and wouldn't mind eating him if need be. She also wondered if he would keep security guards around him now. She realized that she was no longer locked up, and she went to stealth mode before leaving sickbay. She had no idea how to contact the captain, and didn't know who he wanted her to use as proof. She headed up to the bridge to find him, and then realized that maybe this wasn't the best idea. She heads that way anyways hoping that she doesn't get caught again by those against her. (ISS Nimitz - Bridge - Riz - 1156) She noticed there was a back way to the captain's ready room, and decides to wait for him there. She entered quietly, and saw he was there with that Wolfe fellow. She didn't want to intrude, but she needed the information if she was to succeed with this. She made herself visible again, and stood at attention. "As you see captain, I am awake, and if I am to succeed, I need the information on who you want me to kidnap or kill." She informed him. I also need an assurance of her continued ... good behavior. What have you got for me?" Wolfe took a long look again at the 'Rizoru' before them. The hide looked fairly thick, but if it was possible to embed trackers in Brikars, it should be possible with her. ~Of course, with a Brikar it took a sonic drill and a lot of pain.~ thought Wolfe his eyes narrowing slightly and mouth curling in pleasure. "I believe that is possible. A subdermal locator is easy enough, as is a pain device hooked directly into the sensory nervous system, that is if your 'doctors' can locate the sensory nervous system on it," Wolfe stated blandly, "You can have it on a rotating frequency, as you turn up the intensity the pain will increase. The highest setting will kill the article. Do the doctors believe they can sedate it or will I have to perform the procedure while it's conscious?" (Reply Sash) Wolfe nodded, "I have my own ways to render it unconscious if necessary, however if you wish it to be alive and undamaged I would recommend medical seditives. I'm afraid I can be a bit rough sometimes, we all have our failings I suppose." In truth, Wolfe didn't care about damaging the article. It didn't really trouble him at all. He did hate it when his playthings died however. The ceasing of the squeals of anguish was most disconcerting for him. (Reply Sash) "Lronen, scan it. What are its intents?" asked Wolfe brusquely. Lronen knit his brow for a moment in deep concentration and then spoke, "It isn't very happy, and in fact seems quite afraid. That makes it relatively intelligent, at least more so than your average lizard. I believe it would like to bite us all and that might make it happy." Lronen spoke these lines with a sardonic smile, to which Wolfe laughed aloud. It would be fun to see this thing in pain. (Tag any) (Posted by Riz) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Sickbay - CO- Captain Devan Sash- 1023) Sash believed that Wolfe was enjoying his little power trip. The SFI agent kept looking at Rizoru to see if his words were having any effect on her. "Do the doctors believe they can sedate it," Wolfe asked, "or will I have to perform the procedure while it's conscious?" "I haven't asked them to do anything," Sash said. "They're both rather indisposed. Did you have something in mind." Wolfe nodded, "I have my own ways to render it unconscious if necessary, however if you wish it to be alive and undamaged I would recommend medical seditives. I'm afraid I can be a bit rough sometimes, we all have our failings I suppose." If therer was one thing that Sash was certain of, it was that Wolfe's claim of being "abit rough" was most likely the understatement of the day. He probably revelled in his brutality. Wolfe asked his telepath to scan Rizoru, which Lronen seemed more than happy to comply with. He noted that Riz was "relatively intelligent" and that she'd be happy to bite them all. Wolfe laughed, and evil laugh, which triggered another laugh, occuring in the back of Sash's mind. A strange feeling surged through him and he couldn't help but give alittle smile at the prospect of what was about to occur with this poor creature. He then shut that feeling down, a little ashamed of it. He had to be careful not to get totally sucked into this world. it could be a dangerous path to tread. Rizoru claimed to be quite cooperative, which seemed to be a change of heart from her previous demeanor. Sash looked at Wolfe, who smiled back at the captain. Reaching over, Sash shut down the security field. As soon as the hum died the Chamerian launched herself at Harrison. Her teeth bit into his arm. Wolfe moved as if he'd expected that move. Sash felt it was a miscalculation, as she probably should have attacked Wolfe. Before anyone else could move, Wolfe had Rizoru in a head lock, and moments later, she was unconscious. "Well," Sash said, trying to be matter of fact about it, "apparently she has a similar nervous system to ours." (reply Wolfe) Sash made his way back to the partitioned space, and listened to her that any groaning that had been going on before had ended. It was everything Wolfe could do not to squeeze that little bit harder and twist to hear the satisfying 'snap' of its neck. "Well," Sash said, "apparently she has a similar nervous system to ours." "So it would seem Captain," sneered Wolfe, "I suppose this thing isn't quite as smart as Lronen thought, otherwise it would have launched itself at me rather than him." Wolfe gestured towards the bleeding counsellor. Wolfe could see the pain that the lizard's razor sharp teeth had inflicted on Harrison, and Wolfe liked it. This creature could definitely be a useful weapon in the future. (Reply Sash) With the creature out, Wolfe set to work on it. He had done procedures similar to this on many occasions with dissidents that were deemed too useful for execution. It was expensive, involved and time consuming. Wolfe had no idea what the Captain was thinking, wasting these sorts of resources on this little grunt. It was more grist for the mill. Wolfe also was careful to install his own set of protocols. He could lock the captain out of the obedience and tracking modes and take control himself. For now, he would allow the Captain access, but if the need arose, the creature would be under his own control. Wolfe wasn't stupid, he hadn't risen as far or as fast as he had due to idiocy. He wanted this insurance policy. When the procedure was done, he thrust the reptilian back into its cage. Over an hour had passed and Sash and the others had long since vacated. He tapped his comm badge. "Wolfe to Captain Sash, its done. The creature will be out for awhile still, but I'll bring you the controls for its compliancy device as well as the tracker," stated Wolfe. He contemplated the reaction of the engineering section to Derak's presence. They would know that he's under Tagon's protection, so he should be relatively safe. Sash had all but accused him of setting it up, but, had denied that was what he was doing. He had also disgraced him in front of the Bridge crew, yet again. This man had to be dealt with soon rather than later, but, the mission that they were on was of more importance than disposing of one inept captain. He sat there in his favorite soft chair, head leaning back, eyes shut, feet up on a foot stool and a drink in his hands that he was slowly savoring the taste as it went down. His feet were finally starting to feel apart of him once again and not the angry attachments that they normally felt like. They felt as angry with him as he was with Sash. He kept thinking of how to get rid of Sash and his groupies without letting anyone know it was him. He knew that Sash was known for using the women on the ship and then discarding them like they were used rugs. That was just one of the things that really got Jeff's blood to boil. He had almost killed Sash out right when he had done that to Dartena. Jeff knew that she was one that would do anything to get what she wanted, but, the way that Sash had used her was a bit too much. He was about to fall into a short slumber when his drink started to slip from his hands and the door chime sounded. Both seemed to startle him and he almost spilt some of his drink as he jumped up. Putting down his drink, he walked over to the couch and hit the door button to see who it was. He had not been expecting anyone to visit him, as most people didn't, at this time. As the door opened, he received the site that he had wanted for a very long time. The very beautiful Lt. Dartena Bixx and she enter to walk straight up to him. "Hello Commander," Dartena said in a sexy way that he had not heard from a female in a long time. The way she was acting and what she was wearing, got his attention fast. He wondered what she was up to and what she was wanting acting this way to him. She had never done that with him before. "Ah, Hello Lieutenant Bixx, what can I do for you?" He asked not moving away from her. "Seems like we both have a mutual problem. Perhaps we can come up with a mutual solution?" she said in a low sexy tone as she slid her forefinger slowly along his bottom lip. "It would seem that we might, if we are talking about the same thing." He replied not wanting to acknowledge it right away just in case it was a trap. "Now, we have to figure out exactly how we're going to deal with him, so it can't be traced back to us easily. First, we need to deal with that walking fuzzball." Dartena replied as she ran one hand along his thigh and the other behind his neck and kissed him hard. Jeff grabbed a hand full of hair and returned her hard kiss with equal enthusiasm. "Yes the walking rug, he really needs to be used as one." He replied now that she had basically confirmed what he was hoping. "I believe Tagon will be able to handle him, but, even so, we need to help make sure that he can. I don't want any foul ups." He then pulled her head back bearing her neck which he started kissing in ernest. "Mmmm... sedition always makes me so... well... you know," Dartena said as she let her skirt fall to the ground and stepped out of it toward him. "I love strong women that bow down to no man. Much more fun that way." Jeff said as he laid her down on the couch. (reply from Bixx, any) (posted by frank) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Ready room - CO- Captain Devan Sash - 1140) Sash had returned to his ready room to let Wolfe and Lemar do what ever it was they were going to do. He really didn't want to be around to watch, although, it might have been the thing to do in this universe. Instead, he used his time to research his own personal bio.It proved to be interesting reading. It turns out that the Sash of this universe was quite the rebel. he wasn't nearly as sadistic as Sash had imagined he'd be, but he was quite ruthless. Under the circumstances, he could see himself acting in a similar way. In fact, for the most part, Sash's career seemed, for lack of a better word, logical. In this universe the Angossian uprising of the genetically engineered warrior class ended up by his people actually winning and taking over their propagators. They became the ruling class of a near empire. Sash's role in the rebellion was pivotal. Word of the Angossian empire hit the IFP and they quickly incorporated their empire. >From there, Sash made a meteoric rise to the captaincy of the ISS Guardian, after an unknown assailant, believed to have been of Orion origin, assassinated his CO. There was rarely an evidence to his own activities. All personal logs of involved parties agreed that he was capable of COing, and was not a man to cross. He was starting to get hungry when his comm channel beeped. =^=Wolfe to Captain Sash, its done. The creature will be out for awhile still, but I'll bring you the controls for its compliancy device as well as the tracker.=^= Sash fought back a shudder at what they probably did to the poor creature. But under the circumstances, he needed to be in control of this Rizoru, and he saw no other way. "Thank you commander," Sash replied. "Bring me the controls and join me for lunch." (reply Wolfe) "I'll be in my ready room," Sash informed the SFI agent. (reply Wolfe) When Sash signed off the door chime rang. "Come," he called out and the door opened, showing Kane standing outside and barring the way of Debbie Weston. Sash had learned that anyone that wanted to see him had to be allowed past by his command. Apparently Kane couldn't be reconditioned on this task. "let her in Kane," he ordered. The guard stood aside and watched , as if his gaze could scan her. Sash knew that he could see through her clothes for any weapons, and wondered if they really had taken away all sexual urges when they enhanced his physical performance. Watching the dispassionate way Kane watched Weston, he was fairly certain. Of course, it didn't take that much enhanced vision to see through Weston's attire. Her sensual moves towards him were an indication of her intentions. "You're being brave, coming through the bridge," he said. "Not really," Weston replied, a little catty. "Bixx isn't there, and, by the way, neither in Hyland. And I thought perhaps I saw her heading to deck 2." She had never really forgiven Hyland for rebuffing her advances, and had made it her mind to set her sights on being the captain's woman. "Really," Sash said, as a pang of jealousy flashed across his face. Of course, in this universe he had left himself open to this. It wasn't that the mirror Sash had actually stopped his relationship with Bixx, but more that he had allowed Weston's advances to cloud his judgment. In his world, his relationship with Bixx was just beginning, and he was feeling a bit... territorial. Weston, however had caught the look, and gave a half smile. She noted that he still cared for Bixx. But she could change that. Weston moved around his desk, her intention was quite clear. "I just wanted to come and apologize for this morning," she said, with a wicked smile on her lips. "I didn't mean those horrid things I said. I just wanted you to stay." "Well, I did have to get to the bridge," Sash replied. I was sure something was wrong." "I guess you were right," Weston sounded worried. "And when I heard that you'd been hurt, well, I just had to make sure you were alright." She sat on the edge of his desk and leaned back. Sash was starting to feel a little warm. "I'm fine." "We'll just have to see about that, won't we?" That evil smiled appeared on Weston's face again as she slid down the side of the desk and moved her hands towards Sash's groin. Sash, caught by surprise by the action, tried to push his way back. Weston looked up at him with a pout. "What?" Sash tried to recover from his shock. It wasn't as if she weren't pleasant to look at. And her outfit was definitely inviting. "It's just that Wolfe should be here any minute, to have lunch." "I could give you a bigger appetite," she went on seductively, "and work up one for myself. And if Wolfe were to arrive..." Her hands began to caress Sash's body, and he could feel himself stirring. He closed his eyes for a moment then leapt from his chair, as if jolted by electricity. "No," he said, calmly but firmly. Then he looked down at her a little wild look in his own eyes. "You know how I hate to share. But Deb, save yourself for later. I may need you then." With that, Weston huffed and stood up. She stormed out of the ready room through the back door, not wanting anyone to see her leave so early. Sash sat back in his seat and closed his eyes again. This time he saw two green eyes staring back him. They looked mirthfully evil, and he heard the laugh again, and soft, words. "Remember me." (reply Wolfe) (posted by Al Muir) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Sickbay - Starfleet Intelligence - Lieutenant Commander Edward Wolfe - 1143) Edward cocked his eyebrow at the invitation for lunch. This was an unexpected request. Sash was not known for his love of SFI agents. Sash had knocked him off balance. "Aye Sir, I'll be right here," was Wolfe's only reply and he closed the channel. He looked at his telepath. "Come on Divon." The pair stepped into the hall and Wolfe looked cautiously up and down the corridor. When he was sufficiently sure that the two of them were alone he handed Lronen his parallel set of controls for the Riz. "Take these, put them somewhere in my quarters. Use one of the hatches I had installed. I'll collect it later. I also want you to monitor the thoughts of Sash. This is unusual behaviour for him... or perhaps he's finally starting to realise who his friends are. At any rate, keep an 'eye' on him. If there is a problem, notify me immediately and get a contingent up there to take him into custody. I'm sure the Brikar would be more than happy to do so," stated Wolfe licking his lips at the thought of Tagon pounding Sash to a bloody pulp. (ISS Nimitz - Ready Room - SFI - Lieutenant Commander Edward Wolfe - 1152) Wolfe pressed the chime and waited. Instead of the voice of his captain he was almost knocked down when a female engineer barralled past him through the door. He looked after her and raised an eyebrow. ~She didn't even bother excusing herself. I'm sure I can teach her some manners.~ Subconsciously, Edward placed Weston on his 'list'. Edward walked into the readyroom and looked at the captain who seemed to be straightening his clothing. "Edward Wolfe reporting as ordered, Sir," stated Edward looking the Captain dead in the eye. (Reply Sash) (Posted by Jeff) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Ready room - CO- Captain Devan Sash - 1148) "Edward Wolfe reporting as ordered, Sir," Wolfe said. "Not so much as an order as an invitation,Lt. Commander," Sash replied. "Please, help yourself to my replicator and have a seat." He motioned to the small coffe table and the sofa. (reply Wolfe) They were interrupted by an incoming call. "Excuse me," Sash nodded to Wolfe and moved over to his desk. =^=ISS Nimitz, this is the ISS Razorback. We're here to assist. Captain Sash, what are your present needs?=^= Sash could hear the lack of respect in the voice of Paul Casely. It surprised him, since Casely, apparently, owed Sash his life. Then he remembered that in this universe that might have seemed to to be an act of mercy, and thought of as a weakness. Casely probably wondered why Sash let him live after attempting to kill the captain. Sash was wondering it aswell, and had to figure it out before the two met face to face. "Ah, Captain Casely," he said, unperturbed, "I see you finally managed to get hold of a different command. One more suitable to your abilities I'm sure." There was a moment of silence as Sash let a small smile escape from his lips. He imagined Casely trying, unsuccessfully, to make a retort, and finally Casely spoke. =^=Any sign of Captain Saleke and the Wolverine yet?=^ He looked over at personal tactical dsplay on his desk to see that the Wolverine had just appeared. "I believe they've just come into long range sensors. If you like, I can have Zzt recalibrate your sensors for you." (reply Casely) "Well, then," Sash said with a tone finality, "I suppose we'll see you soon. Sash out." The screen went blank. An instant later, Dumas' came through his comm system stating that there was an incoming message from the Wolverine. "I'll take it in here," Sash saw another familiar face with a different look. "Captain Saleke, welcome to my little neck of the universe." =^=The Wolverine shall be in position in 43 minutes.=^= "Open a channel to the Nimitz." He had heard what had happened to his predecessor. (Reply: Nimitz) "The Wolverine shall be in position in 43 minutes." Saleke said simply. Straight forward and to the point, like a good Vulcan. "Very well, Captain," Sash replied. "We will convene with Captain Casely at 1300 hours, here on the Nimitz." (reply Seleke) He returned to Wolfe, and got his food from the replicator. He sat down with a heavy sigh. "As you can see, I am finding myself under the gun. I'm confiding in you, Mr. Wolfe, as I feel that I need an ally, and you appear to be the best candidate. You and I have no history together, and the others in my camp are, shall we say, less capable of motivating others to our cause." (reply Wolfe) "I am putting a lot on the line here with you. Things are not going well with this war, as you probably know. Our last attempts to get medical supplies fom the alternate universe did not end well, and we lost a lot of good people. It is imperative that we succeed at this effort." (reply Wofe, Saleke, Casely) (posted by Al Muir) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz - Main Engineering - ACEO - Lieutenant Miles O'Neill - 1150) Miles was getting very angry at the console. Coupled with his already bad mood, he was getting very inefficient and erratic in fixing the console. As Miles was working, lazily, on the console, Debbie Weston came up to him, obviously angry at something, something Miles didn't care about. "O'Neill," she barked, "just what the hell do you think you're doing? Why isn't this generator working yet?" "Because this goddamn console doesn't feel like working. Now, leave me alone!" Miles said, angrily. "If you don't get moving on this I'll feed you to Zzt myself," she said, knowing full well that O'Neill had seen Zzt's appetite for fresh meat. And that Zzt had had an eye for Weston as well. Then she leaned down and whispered in his ear. "But if you get it done soon," she said sweetly, "then I'll give you a big reward." Her fingers played with the younger man's hair and ran down his cheek to his neck. As he began to respond to her touch she gave him a little scratch with her nail. "But nothing until it's done." Miles, party due to the fact that he didn't want Weston to tell Zzt about him, and partly due to the reward she promised, started to really work on the console. After some time, he finally finished fixing the console. It turned on, much to Miles's delight, and he walked over to Weson. "I'm done." Miles said. (Reply Weston, any) (Posted by Matt Kirk) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Razorback - Bridge - CO - Captain Paul Casely - 1242) Casely sat in the command chair and watched the universe speed by. Absently, he ran his finger along the angry scar along his face, a scar he'd received on the Nimitz. Sash had proven much more formitable than he'd thought. Casely still wondered why Sash had chosen to transfer him rather than kill him. It was something he'd never understand. The Intrepid Class warship was smaller than the Nimitz, but Casely was more than happy with it. It was an advanced ship, less weaponry but faster and more maneouverable than the Nimitz. A good warship in its own right. Still, the possiblity of having a Soverign never eluded him. He knew that Sash's own officers were probably plotting against him at that moment. The Nimitz was too good a prize. "Sir, we are in communications range of the Nimitz," stated the OPs officer. "Excellent," said Paul rubbing his hands together. He looked forward to seeing his old captain and adversary again, "Patch me through." "Aye Sir." Paul stood up and spoke aloud, "ISS Nimitz, this is the ISS Razorback. We're here to assist. Captain Sash, what are your present needs?" Paul made sure there was just enough edge in his voice as to suggest that Sash couldn't handle the mission on his own. Sash was seen by many throughout the empire as morally weak, Casely's own survival after the attempt coup was proof enough of that. (Reply Sash) "Any sign of Captain Saleke and the Wolverine yet?" asked Paul to Sash. (Reply Sash) (Posted by Jeff) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Wolverine- Bridge - CO, Captain Saleke - 1245) The Prometheus class vessel was making satisfactory time as they headed toward the rendezvous point with the Nimitz and Razorback at warp seven, Salekes eyes were on the starfield as his mind was going over a myriad of possibilities, cataloguing possible counter moves and analyzing their outcomes. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the OPS officer Ensign Daugherty lean back in his chair and place his feet on the console, the man chuckled at some inner amusement as he did so. "Ensign Daugherty." The man looked back at the Captain as he spoke with a look of contempt on his face which he quickly erased, the green eyes of the Vulcan with brown, shoulder length hair which was drawn back and tied with a cord seemed to bore t hrough him. ~Those eyes couldn't possibly be any colder, what in hell is he thinking~ "Captain?" He couldn't keep the venom completely out of his voice. "Your behavior while on bridge duty is lacking ensign, maintain decorum while at your station or I shall see that you are suitably punished." Saleke stared down the man for a long moment, since accepting the commission for the new ship he had engaged in many of these battles of wills, none yet had become anything more but Saleke had not let down his guard, not for an instant. He saw the face of the man go red as he fought to maintain control and his left hand inched toward the dagger at his waist. Saleke eased from the command chair as the ensign turned his chair slightly with every muscle tensed, just when it looked like he was going to spring to his feet and attack he relaxed, sensing obviou sly the danger he was in. "Very well CAPTAIN." The man said and gave him a smile which did not reach his eyes. He lifted his hands and turned back to the board as Saleke walked toward him. Daugherty had not completely let down his guard as the Captain approached him as he sensed danger, his left hand whipped down to his belt for the dagger and he turned the chair swiftly... but not fast enough, his arm was immobilied by the Vulcans vise-like grip with his own left hand while his right hand reached around his head to cup his chin, the Vulcan twisted and pulled back hard, there was an audible snap and the OPS officer went limp. Saleke turned with his hand on his phaser to face the rest of the bridge crew who were gazing upon the spectacle and weighing their own chances no doubt. "Proper discipline and respect for a ranking officer shall be maintained on this ship, any further such behavio r shall meet with the same results. Notify security to remove Ensign Daugherty and inform Chief Eperil that another from his department shall be needed. The lag time between the giving of his order and the time needed to carry it out was improved, he noted over earlier instances, he calculated a 43% greater efficiency factor. When Ensign Maloy took the OPS station he moved quickly at Salekes order. "Open a channel to the Nimitz." He had heard what had happened to his predecessor. (Reply: Nimitz) "The Wolverine shall be in position in 43 minutes." Saleke said (Reply: Nimitz) (Posted by Charles) --------------------------------------------------------------------- (ISS Nimitz- Personal quarters - CSO, Lt. Com. Holis Gralen and Beth Kirien -1645) Holis retired to his cabin early after finishing his part of the work on the mechanism and took a shower, he was leaving the shower with a towel on when there was the sound of the chime announcing someone was outside. "Bugger it!" He said to himself before calling out. "Come in." As he wrapped the towel tightly around himself and walked to the replicator for fresh clothing. Beth had been contemplating this all day. She knew that her Daddy taking her and Ella out for dinner in 10-Forward was a big occassion, and she wanted a present for her Daddy. Ella had been all out of sorts the past week, alternating between depression and anger. And so Beth took a deep breath, and went to see the man that owned their mother, because Beth thought that her Daddy might like a present of Ella, dressed like their Mom. But this man scared her, and attracted her. He wielded the kind of power that she wanted to wield, but she knew that kind of power could burn. So she chimed the door, shut her mind down like her Mother had showed her, and walked into Holis Gralen's Quarters, feeling as if she were going to meet the Devil, not her Mother's Owner. "Uhmm, Master Gralen?" She asked, se eing a dark room and no Mr. Gralen. Holis heard the small voice and paused for a moment then dropped the clothes he had taken from the replicator on the bed. ~What the?~ He thought then cinched the big towel tighter around himself and walked out of the bedchamber to find one of Kiriens girls standing in the living quarters with wide eyes which widened more at seeing him in such a state of undress. "What are you doing in my quarters?" He asked. "Your mother is not here yet." Beth shrank back into the Darkness a bit at the way he spoke. "I didn't come to see Mother, Master Gralen, I came to ask a ... favor of sorts, of you." "A favor?" Holis was surprised to say the least, the Kirien girls avoided him at all costs it see med and clung to Sash like he was the reincarnation of some important personage. He looked at her for a moment then softened his tone as he took a nearby chair, seeming not to care how he was clothed, he was Betazoid after all. "Tell me about this favor." "I..uh... Uhmm" She said, standing up straighter and looking him in the eye. "I want to give Ella to Da...to Captain Sash tonight. He's been stressed and well, I thought she'd make a good present. And from reading the sacred Betazoid texts, they say that a slavegirl must have a collar, and the one you claimed Mother with is very lovely, and since the replicator thinks me a child and won't let me access to that potion of it... I came to the most knowledgeable person on the ship." She dropped her eyes at the hungrish look in his dark eyes and tried really hard not to shake. Holis laughed then, a breezy laugh. "Do you have any idea what you're asking little girl? How a girl with a collar and given to a man is completely his property body and soul? You would trade your sister like a piece of property?" He gave her a thoughtful look. "And what would you pay for a collar?" Her tongue seemed to be rooted to her mouth so he continued. "How old are you?" He asked then waved off the question. "Never mind you're quite lovely as you are. Quite provocative really." He grinned at her. "I'll take the collar out in trade." She looked up at the contemplative tone of voice and wondered if he was really taking her serious. "Yes, Master Gralen, I've studied the sacred texts, I know what it means. Ella is so much like Mother, she needs Da... the Captain. Ella is terrified of you, and of the Captain, and her terror has no comparison to anything else, Master Gralen. I want to always drink in her terror." As he said the last, she looked into his eyes, something gnawing at her belly, nervousness. "What would you will of me, Master Gralen ?" Holis looked at her for amoment, relishing the dark side she was projecting and her curiosity then stood to his feet as the towel dropped to the floor. "Come over here child." He said with a smile. "I have some time yet to kill and I've found a pleasurable way to pass it." (Reply: Any, none) (Posted by Charles)
